You can phone the local TCM professional associations and ask for recomendations. I am currently under treatment by a TCM practitioner (not in the USA) as he has helped a family friend overcome prostate cancer and a relative from lung cancer. I haven’t seen any research on this topic but I certainly agree that in my experience, candida is in a much more controllable state when I eat a high carbohydrate diet. I DO feel that when you try to eat low-carb and starve the candida, it somehow changes form and embeds deeper into the body. The body also goes into a state of decreased digestive capacity and lowered immunity on a low-carb diet. I don’t eat a raw vegetarian diet and I don’t think this diet will work for everyone but you also can’t argue with people who feel good on this diet, if it works for them, then that is what thei ...

Hi, I have only just been diagnosed with candida after only a few months of symptoms. I am not sure what caused it, but am beginning to think it was bad diet. The first thing that happened to me was a gluten intolerance 6 months ago (I’m really not sure if this was before or after candida, but I think it was before) Anyway I used to eat fast food, drink alcohol etc all the time before and had to stop this because of gluten. When I stopped eating gluten I got 100% better, but I lost a lot of weight and started eating heaps of peanut butter, full fat dairy, avocados, pasta, coconut. My GI sy ...

I don’t believe that raw diets are good for people who are already too skinny. They are good for people who tend to gain weight very easily and always have strong muscles with no effort regardless of what they eat. Obviously, the high-fat diet was causing you tons of problems so you want to stay away from that. For me, a high carbohydrate diet is the best (I also tend to be skinny). High carb diets are the most nourishing and the most helpful for keeping on weight and maintaining health, they also place the least amount of burden on the kidneys and the liver so that they are free to do ...

The more simple the carbohydrate, the quicker it will feed the candida, so of course any type of sugars will feed it the quickest, then refined carbohydrates like white flour would be next followed by other grains and starchy vegetables like potatoes. But just because something feeds candida doesn’t mean you can’t eat it and still keep yourself healthy. For example, I eat white basmati rice and I feel very good on this, but some people prefer brown rice and this will feed candida less. Some people got this idea in their head that grains are unhealthy and this is not true at all, even wh ...

Thank you so much! :) I’m still a bit worried about eating too many grains.. it’s very confusing to know what is ok.. Exactly correct, in fact candida cannot live at all in a body that is in a healthy state. Once you are completely healthy, candida will be gone and not the other way round. The biggest mistake people make is to think that once they eliminate candida, then they will be healthy and this is just not true, first make your body healthy, then candida cannot grow regardless of how many carbs and sugars you eat. I woke up with yeast, candida and rashes after heavy doses of anti-biotics. This led to chronic fatigue. Eventually, I have found that 50/50 fruits and veggies, and soaked wild rice, lots of seaweed, kimchi/sauerkraut, and small amounts of fats were just right for me.
