I was wondering if anyone knows anything about wheatgrass fasting. ... If i was to drink only 2 or 4 ounces of wheatgrass juice a day, would it have the same or maybe even better effects as water fasting? Or would it be just like juice fasting? ... Since it only take a few minutes to digest, would the body go into ketosis like it does when water fasting? ... ... My main problem is my skin (acne, pores, scarring). Any insight is helpful, thanks. I have a Vitamix and two juicers. I use each for different things. The Vitamix I use for such things as frozen fruit, fresh fruit, mixed with hemp hearts, flax, etc. One juicer I use for hard veggies like carrots and celery etc, while the other juicer I use for orange juice, grapefruit juice, kale, apples spinach and other greens like parsley and cilantro. The Omega single auger is great for greens while the Breville is great for lots of hard veggies and does it fast, pumping out huge amounts of juice in a short time. Hi Thefarm, Besides weighing yourself also take your waist measurement. See if there is a reduction. Your initial weight loss is most probably due to loss of fluid (water) from your body. Usually happens at the beginning of a cleanse. Do not mix veggies and fruits when juicing. In fact even drinking fruit juice should be separated from drinking vegetable juice by at least half an hour. Also dilute all your juices with 50% water. Drink only one 8oz glass of diluted fruit juice twice a day, once in the morning then a second one in the afternoon. Enrich your vegetable broth with potassium by ...

Water fasting and juice fasting, like detoxing--and heck, if done correctly, they are forms of detoxing--are the Rodney Dangerfield of alternative health: they "don’t get no respect." 1 According to WebMD, for example, there isn’t enough evidence to support health claims for either water fasting or juice fasting, and "that type of fasting can actually be dangerous, especially for people who have other medical problems." 2 And according to an NBC News article that cites a number of so-called experts, long-term fasts can lead to muscle breakdown and a shortage of many n ...

Also, the Breuss juice composition supports the elimination organs, mainly the liver and the kidneys. Beet, carrot and black radish for liver, celery for kidneys. Hi All, ... ... I am a 43-year old male with Psoriasis for over 20 years. I am considering fasting as a possible alternative course to pursue. ... I am wondering if any one of you out there has had any experience of the disease and how it reacted to fasting and in particular if any of you have heard of, or dealt with these guys at http://www.anti-aging-plan.com/en/index. ... ... I am flying to Budapest next week to start a two-week fasting program. ... Thanks, ... David [End]

Yes i have fasted as a means to rid my body that is 60 to 70% covered. I did the master cleanse. My skin was just about cleared in 4 days. I resumed eating on the 5th day and the psoriasis came back very quick and very bad. I believe you should get allergy food tested and a stool sample done and start with that baseline. I did to much guessing and am starting from scratch with these two tests before i proceed further. I wasted two years, but it was a learning experience. [End]

I’ve tried juice fasting for 5 days. I was on Humira at the time but I believe that the fasting did help me. I plan to fast again sometime soon as the Humira stopped working for me after 3 months of use. I have no alternative methods to control and maintain my psor, so I plan on doing as natural as I can. I am on day number 15 out of 40 of a spiritual fast where I am cleansing my body and my surroundings. I selected the Master Cleanse so I am guaranteed to have all the minerals, etc. that I need every day. I have taken the SWF every morning and the laxative tea every evening. Have not cheated at all, taking 8-10 servings of the lemonade, maple syrup and cayenne pepper in capsules that I made from bottled, store bought cayenne. My question is regarding my tongue, which is white but slowly turning pink :) My concern is regarding the circumvallate papillae ... the large ”taste buds” on th ...

Hiya Tamara, ... ... A lot of people get a heavy, sticky white coating on their tongues, especially in the early stages of the MC. Your taste buds might be reacting to that. ... ... I`ve found that brushing teeth with baking soda (preferably aluminum-free) removes a lot of the white coating - temporarily - and the baking soda helps lower bacterial growth in the mouth, too. It will remove any stains from your teeth and counteract the acid from the lemons in your mouth, which helps protect your teeth. Try not to swallow it, because the lemon juice in the stomach will be naturally neutralized by your o ...

Hi Tamera - it’s possible that you are developing a yeast reaction on your tongue (thrush). I have also found that the amount of sugar that we consume in this cleanse does create yeast problems, if you’re doing the cleanse for an extended period of time. When this last happened to me, I purchased some probiotic tablets and dissolved them in water and drank them down. Although you’re not supposed to have any supplements (if you’re following the fast as directed by SB), you may need to make some adjustment to allow you to carry on. If you want to be able to continue on, and don’t want to ...

Thank you for your replies! I agree with both replies. I do think that my thrush problem was due to both the acidity of the lemons and the sugar of the maple. I put up with the enlarged bumps even tho it was annoying at best, knowing that it was not a cause for alarm. I am proud to say that I did finish the entire 40 days of the Master Cleanse, with one day even using a water fast to finish off strong :) I experienced such a cleansing and awakening which cannot be compared to anything I have ever done before. Certainly nothing can ever compare to this experience as your focus is tota ...
