So far I have tried both buffered and unbuffered vitamin c which were both natural corn free varieties. It may have been somewhat less often with the unbuffered C. Should I stop taking it since my body is showing signs like this? I was directed by a naturopath to take 2500mg twice daily to try to treat a viral/precancerous condition caused by hpv. After taking a two week break from the 5000mg buffered C I tried reintroducing unbuffered C, at 2500 mg per day. My urine seemed okay at first but once I increased it to 5000mg my urine was bright orange the next morning. I’ve backed down t ...

If you are using precise amounts of ascorbic acid and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) 1 tsp ascorbic acid to 1/2 tsp baking soda (be sure and use measuring spoons to measure and make them level, not rounded, then there should be no problem with buffering the Vit. C every day. 1 tsp of ascorbic acid + 1/2 tsp baking soda, mixed in water and allowed to fizz, then stir and allow to fizz again, repeating the stirring till no more fizzing takes place; the ascorbic acid mixes with the baking soda and it gives off carbon dioxide (that is the fizzing), and the resulting solution is sodium ascorba ...

If you buy sodium ascorbate you will not have to add bakimng soda & it definitely will help you be more alkalized. I was making my own lipo c for awhile, but found that Dr. Mercola’s lipo C is not that much more expensive and I never really felt confident my home made stuff was as effective as that put out with lots of research. I do know lipo C has helped me enormously with lowering my doseage of hydrocortisone &just generally feeling way better. If I have a stressful situation I take more of it and that seems to work well. I doubt that what you took had any role in the developement of the cancer cells. I don’t see why you should be "forced" into mainstream medicine, though certainly that is your choice to make. You can get sodium ascorbate from iherb, sometimes Vitacost, and Amazon. I am really mega dosing currently - I drink the whole 1 1/2 cup daily, sipping on it some every hour from morning until about 7 PM. It has helped me so much to overcome an ”adrenal crash”, plus cancer has been in my family, I know it can be latent in the body, I hear this can wipe it out and I want to kill any & all I can. It may be how you space it out over the day. Vit. C is good for about 3 hours in the body, so a megadose once or twice a day leaves a lot of time somewhere in the middle where the body doesn’t have any. You may even want to add like a 1/4 tsp of Vit. C powder to your drinking water so you get a continual low dose through out the day. ... ... I don’t know for sure, but it is reasonable that the body would only be able to absorb so much in a single dose. [End]

Hello, I’m 33 years old and have been suffering from aggressive periodontal disease for the last 8 years. I’ve had scaling and root planing several times, been put on antibiotics several times including low dose antibiotics everyday for over a year. Nothing worked and I lost a tooth cause I had lost so much bone in my upper jaw. The periodontist wanted to just pull them all out and put in implants (which is insanely expensive!) I have taken 30 to 50 grams a day of ascorbic acid for 15 years. I suspect you will have to take a considerably larger amount than you listed if you are looking for a ”bowel-tolerance” reaction, e.g. loose stool/diarrhea. You’ll probably experience gas/flatulence first, then a loose stool. There is no particular danger, although it can be inconvenient. During the first year or two, I got loose stools regularly, but after that mostly just a lot of flatulence. Flatulence is how I decide I’ve had enough [for the moment]. [End]

Hello! I would recommend that you eat a more alkaline diet instead of using the baking soda. What you really need is minerals that you get from fruits and vegetables. an alkaline stomach creates acid blood. in other words before your blood can become akaline the stomach must have proper digestive acids. This can be obtained either by hcl supplementation or by proper mineral balance. Improper digestion leads to leaky gut which means food passes in the colon undigested leaking into the blood creating acid blood.root of the problem is mineral imbalance and or mineral deficiency. I have never heard the Salt & Vit. C protocol called a flush before. But, it was developed specifically to get rid of the parasites that are usually a co-infection with Lymes. And if used in the first year, it seems to be very effective in many cases. So it stands to reason that it would help with non-Lymes parasite infestations. It works on the basis of shifting the internal environment to a hostile environment for parasites. Kudos to you for thinking of it, and congratulations that it is making such a difference. [End]

The underlying physical causes of depression can be relieved by a variety of programs to lead you to better health. I did it and so can you. Go to the Liver Flush Support Forum and read some of the featured programs. I used Dr. Hulda Clark’s programs with a great improvement and eventually found out I was snsitive to gluten. Its easy, you let your body tell you how much vitamin c it needs. Build up how much you take each day, until you reach bowel tolerance, then back off a little. If you are healthier then you will reach bowel tolerance at a lot lower dosage. Most will need to stay on the high dose for weeks then drop to maitanence dose. And you ta ...

Glad to have a quick answer! Definately not the right stuff. Here 500 mg of Vit C in a bottle of 200 tabs is 45 Kr at the cheapest in town- danish kroner, and that’s about 8-9 USD. I’d like to see a revolution in costs here, but I think the prices are very much related to the high taxes on companies and the amount of middlemen/sellers. [End]

Magnesium ascorbate seems to work pretty well for some people as a laxative in anything more than very small doses.
