The best first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem and accepting you need treatment. I would suggest finding a local treatment centre and checking yourself in for an assessment. Alternatively, you can go online and find your local AA or other alcohol recovery group. Either way, it is time to ask for help. Also you may not want to hear this, but getting your family involved could be a wise move. If they do not know what you are going through, they can not be there to support you. I have been struggling with alcoholism for 15 years. I drink pretty much every day, and I drink a lot (usually beer, at least 6 per night). I am a 5’2” female, so I think I drink a ton with respect to my size. I desperately want to quit drinking, and I am trying everything. I have done some research, and I believe that my poor body is probably seething with candida due to my drinking, and other bad habits that come with my drinking (eating crappy foods, smoking, not enough sleep, etc). I want to treat my candidiasis on this go-around of attempted sobriety (sober less than 24 hours). ...

http://curezone.org/upload/_A_Forums/Ask_Moreless/tn-Isis_2.jpg ... I believe most alcoholics will find upon investigation a candida situation, as I did. Right now you need to focus on one thing at a time. Google ” Why alcoholics drink ” and see about a diet change that will slowly help curb your crave. An A.A. meeting with eyeball to eyeball support would benefit these early days. Diet is key, candida or no-alcohol or no. One 24 hours will get you two. Hang in and hang on - sobriety is worth it, our natural state, and can be returned to. Everything has a solution. ... ... seek2clean ... ...

I know that many people have been helped by AA at the initial stage of breaking off the addiction. If you drink from morning to evening and are at risk for DTs, better do that in a medical setting. After the initial break away from alcohol, you will need to work on maintaining sobriety and this is were you could use a stay at a Retreat center. Check this website www.rawdetox.org. You should stay there for a month. You will have the opportunity to learn a new lifestyle and leave the old behind. You will be detoxified from all the metabolites of alcohol that make you crave alcohol and ...

http://curezone.org/upload/_A_Forums/Ask_Moreless/tn-Isis_2.jpg ... I would have loved a month away, and to work with a healing protocal right away, but since it was not possible I did a meeting or 3 every day - detoxing would have been easier for me with trained assistance for sure. I am coming from several years of sobriety and surely wish I had known of a forum like this when I put the bottle down. Only recently (2+ years) have health issues caused me to roll the camera back and connect the candida/sugar/alcohol dots. Granted - a BIG book and fellow sufferers is not enough for some of us. ...

Beating heroin, crack cocaine and other addictions ... ... by Tony Isaacs ... ... Recently, I fielded two questions from members of my Yahoo group about helping with drug addiction. I’ve been meaning to post this message for quite a while, but haven’t quite gotten around to it until now, after someone here asked me about using kudzu to stop drinking. About the kudzu question: I did use it for a while, when I was motivated to quit, but was never quite sure of its effectiveness, since I was taking a lot of things at the same time. Actually if there was any substance that helped reduce my alcohol cravings, it was through boosting my serotonin by taking 5’HTP with cal/mag/zinc and B-vitamins (5’htp usage has been well-described on the curezone depression forum, although I ...

He does not eat proper ( usually a sandwich per day) he smokes a pack of cigarettes per day. ... ... He has been admitted to hospital. He has been in hospital for a couple of weeks, and still seems to get confused easily( he was not like this prior to being admitted). ...
