I have the same issue but I have been doing better since NB. have you tried different forms? I know I can handle beer better than wine. Wine makes my muscles cramp up and hurt, but one beer is okay. Hi, I suffer from very severe MCS and it started off with alcohol. At first I would have right upper quaderant pain for a few hours each time I drank & it got worse, it would last longer each time until it stuck with me and turned into full blown MCS. I’m not surprised to hear that you hava a history of antibiotic use which is almost always the cause for overgrowths of opportunistic harmful gut microbes. So the ecosystem is changed, and it’s generally not for the better. ... ... Once the harmful bacteria start to dominate, the immune system of the host becomes compromised. So I have been on the roller coaster for some time. Am seeing a doctor that seemed to really piece things together for me and make sense of things. He had me working on my Iron levels as I had low ferritin Iron and that was a cause of low dopamine, low brain energy and basically that the adrenals and thyroid will not work if you do not have optimal ferritin levels. So I am approaching optimal ferritin levels and for the last two weeks or so felt great. But last night I was holding some items that were purchased from a Goodwill and realized the smell of the detergent was overwhelming and wi ...

I want to give you a potential heads up before your phone consultation with Dr Lam. From the comments I have read Dr Lam often ’avoids’ patients who are very sick so he might tell you he feels you need to go to someone else. Doctors in the US are trained to avoid high risk because that also represents a high chance of being sued. ... ... Your case is very scary. Dr Larry Wilson has trained people who work under his supervision. He recommends Nutrional Balancing. It works for some people but not for others but then you would be able to largely side step the supplements route. [End]

Juicing organic vegetables and fruits is very cleansing and healing in general, but if you use beets and dandelion greens - for example - you can target the liver more specifically, and it’s a more gentle way of cleansing because the fresh veggies/fruits provide the live enzymes and nutrients to nourish your entire body and carry the toxins out. My understanding of ME/CFS is that it affects the digestive system. This includes hyper-acidity, waterbrash, nausea, retching, and vomiting. Waterbrash is the spontaneous flooding of the mouth with a clear, slightly salty fluid, which may be of sufficient quantity to require expectoration (spit). The source of the fluid appears to be the salivary glands. People sleep poorly, has unpleasant dreams, and develops an irritable disposition. There is flatulence, rumbling of the bowels, constipation may alternate with diarrhoea and a sense of weight or soreness over the abdomen. ... ... Hyper-acidity ...

Princeofsin’s suggestion may be on the mark. It’s rare leaky gut isn’t involved with Candida. Many of your symptoms are suggestive of both and some of the other replies are typical of Candida topics. There are easy to find online candida questionnaires which you can take to rule it out. I strictly stuck to this diet and saw some improvement. However, I’ve had to modify it based on some food intolerances that I have discovered throughout my journey trying to figure out how to overcome EC.
