  • Retinal Detachment by pksubra   5 year  3,551  Eye Floaters / Eyes Probl / Eyesight

Hello Everyone, ... My girlfriend was diagnosed with Retinal Detachment and had a procedure done last week - bubble (to hold the eye in place) and laser (for the tear). I guess this was detected too late for any natural cures to work, however I believe natural cures can help her recover and prevent any future complications. ... Can anyone give some insight into what we can do to help this heal the eye after surgery and to prevent any complications in the other eye (if you had Retinal detachment in one eye, there is 15% probability you will develop it in the other eye too). Any cures or protocols ...   [retrieve this message]

Hi there, I can’t answer your question but I am curious to know if any of the professionals your friend has seen given any indications as to what the possible causes are for this issue to occur. I only ask because coincidently a friend of ours has just lost the sight in one eye due to this, and you are right, he has to go back and get the other eye seen to as well. He was told by some eye bloke that he had ’floaties’, (whatever the hell they are), and apparently a specialist has said that this is the first indicator of Retina Detachment. I think his was a similar case as well...being to ...   [retrieve this message]

Sorry to hear about your friend. None of the professional opthomologist/optometrist has given any indication of what the cause might be. From what I read some of the causes might be age, diabetes (even though none of these apply to my girlfriend). ... ... If your friend has time on his/her side, I would recommend trying. ... ... http://www.naturaleyecare.com/diseases.asp?d_num=18 ... ... Also, have them get their eyes regularly monitored by a opthomologist/optometrist, especially if they see a sudden increase in the number of floaters. This might be a sign of retinal detachment and you would need to see ...   [retrieve this message]

Thanks for that. Yeah, I will have a look at that site. I may do a fair bit of searching to try and find out more. I was talking to one of my family only last night and she gets them, on describing them...I have them!! It would appear there are a vast majority of people who may have them, but probably don’t know what they are, I know I had no idea till last night, I’m nudging 60 and knew nothing about it, DUH!! ... ... Thanks again and Cheers.   [End]

I had the same retinal surgery last Jan. I just continued to use all the eye drops religiously as directed. It took 3-4 weeks to feel normal again. That floating air bubble drove me crazy until it faded away! I have had many check ups since then with no problems. My vision is great in that eye. I was left with a slightly dialated pupil but it does not cause any problems. ... ... I had two cataract surgeries 3 months before in Oct. The dr. said I had extreme nearsightness and was at much higher risk for retinal tearing. Was he right! ... ... Flashing lights is another symptom to look out for. If ...   [retrieve this message]

Eye Floaters, Are there any eye doctors out there experimenting with low dose magnetism to check whether floaters can be ionised and then clumped together and moved and held outside of the direct vision path? Limescale in water can be forced to clump by ionising the tiny solid particles in the water. This then stops the particles clinging to the sides of the pipe. If the floaters can be given a positive or negative charge they can then be controlled and moved in any required direction. Come on all you Tech people. I am tired of hearing ”nothing can be done about floaters” ...   [End]
