Thank you very much for this inspiring story! I don’t think I could be married to a conventional MD. Dr. Christianne Northrup is an MD - but unconventional. One reason she and her husband (a conventional MD) divorced (I think)is because he did not respect her concepts of healing and she needed to have more respect for her own ways of practicing medicine. In regards to detoxing. Do not start with milkthistle before she does several liverflushes (see liverflush forum), colon cleanse (see forum for this too). ... Most people’s livers are congested. When you detox and the liver/colon are not clean the toxins will be reabsorbed by the body and she will feel sicker than before. ... ... After a few flushes 2 weeks apart, in between you can do the colon cleanse, the fastest is Oxypowder (brings oxygen in the colon and melts old fecal matter), you can start the H202. ... I Have tried so many things...nothing has worked so far. Not that I am giving up, but I really want to be sure I know what exactly it is that I am dealing with. My plan is to see what happens with my lab work, then hopefully get in with an infectious disease dr. and see if they can diagnos what’s in my blood. Silver is top on my list for treatment!!! Whether it definitely has to be cooked or not, I don’t know, butI will say this: I did a thorough web search of technical papers examining how canning affects phytochemicals, and of asparagus specifically. As you probablt know, heat not only renders some nutrients more bioavailable, it also converts some phytochemicals into a more potent form. Canned foods are some cases higher in nutrients than their fresh counterparts. It is not the canning itself that is particularly destructive (except for heat labile nutrients such as vitamin C, for example) it is the REHEATING after we take them out ...

The article at http://www.indepthinfo.com/asparagus/health-benefits.htm about the health benefits of asparagus doesn’t say much about Asparagus having anti-cancer benefits. However, I have found that trial and error seems to work out better for me than any other method. I would like to find out more details about how asparagus fights cancer. [End]
