Immune system balance will always be the best asset. Pathogens tend to create polarization of different immune responses. Fungal candida increases the Th2 immune response, as this helps promote/allow fungal candida growth. Lyme’s on the other hand is more commonly associated with a Th1 dominance, although that may change at different stages.Fungal candida results from antibiotic use, and antibiotics are heavily used in Lyme’s. The presence of fungal candida will normally precede and Lyme’s infection. In either case, the real culprit is the loss of immunotolerance or balance.   [End]

Almost all tests are only good as an indication, not absolute proof. A stool test is only most accurate for the lower large intestine, not the rest of the body. A blood test is mostly accurate for the blood. This is one reason that I advocate doing 2-3 tests, plus signs and symptoms, case history, history of antibiotic use, etc to determine whether or not someone has fungal candida. Resrachers will use antibiotics in a lab to create fungal candida, as they know it’s a sure way to create it and observe it. That’s why I say that past antibiotic use is the best indicator. It’s probably a little more complex than that. No die-off could signal a weaker immune system response, better ability to detoxify, or no effect, with other possibilities not excluded. Hi Dr. McCombs, I have a pretty bad case of rosacea, it’s on my cheeks, chin, and forehead with papules. I’ve tried coconut oil on my face, which didn’t help very much. I’ve also tried the Rosacea Cream from your website, it helped at first, but my rosacea just keeps getting worse. I’m on your plan, but anything you recommend to use on my face? ... ... • Re: Rosacea by Dr.Jeff   26 days  111

With skin conditions like rosacea, eczema, and posriasis, low HCL levels in the stomach are usually present. The Plan helps to raise these levels naturally, but you should probably supplement with HCL for faster results. Follow the HCL Protocol for determining how much HCL to use.   [End]

No, you should be getting enough carbs without eating the fruit. You may want to look at implementing the Blood Sugar protocol to help handle any carb intolerance or blood sugar regulation issues that may be present.   [End]

I don’t understand why it would have a better effect, unless it’s from combining the alkaloids with the other ingredients? The sorbitol is from GMO corn. There are sugars in all fruits and veggies. The amount in onions is not that great, plus onions have can have an anti-inflammatory effect. I think they should be okay. Everything in moderation, is a good idea to follow. If you’re craving them, that may not be a good sign.   [End]

Let me know how the Chromate works for you. It may not be related to blood sugar. I’ve never heard that each blood sugar event can be worse than the previous one. You could try taking a supplement with a fair amount of Trypsin in it, like a pancreatin formula (Digestive enzymes).   [End]

I have had symptoms of AF for the past year or so. The past month I have experienced spurts of brain fog/lethargy/spacy feeling. My diet has become very limited. It seems my body cannot tolerate any carbs (sugars/starches). Whenever I eat any carbohydrates, within seconds-minutes I experience a myriad of symptoms including: Bloating, abdominal pain, foul/toxic smelling flatulence, palpitations, itchy eyes/allergies, acute anger, and extreme insomnia. • Re: hi dr.jeff about amylase enzyme by Dr.Jeff   31 days  132

Those enzymes will be fine. The function of pancreatic enzymes takes place in the small intestine and people for decades have found benefit in their use, and continue to do so. If you want to maximize their effect taking them before a meal is usuallu suggested. If you just focus on the use of HCL, this will naturally lead to greater release of pancreatic enzymes from the pancreas.   [End]

Hi Dr. Jeff, ... ... There’s an HCL product that I’ve been using and liking called ZYPAN from standard process. I’m sure you’re familiar with them. The only problem I see is, the ’other ingredients’ in this product are Cellulose, lactose, and calcium stearate. Standard process often adds little extras, that would seem to be an issue, like lactose, or honey, often. Great formulas; but I dont know if it’s ok for me to use with the plan. I like that they are HCl ’tablets’ that dissolve immediately. I sometimes feel I get more of an effect from these than thornes HCL capsules. I suppose these tabl ...   [retrieve this message]

so you said candida force is best taking on empty stomach but I have low stomach and I am taking digestive enzymes will they help break down foods in my stomach so it can be empty how long does the stomach empty out so I can take the candida force sometimes im not sure if my stomach is emptying out properly   [End]
    • Re: hi dr.jeff about candida force by Dr.Jeff   31 days  134

You could take it farther from a meal if your digestion is slow. Taking HCL supplementation can help with low stomach acid. Most people start to see HCL levels increase with the Plan, so it may not be an issue.   [End]
