Hello, ... I started the Plan last Monday but did not follow the instructions properly. I was only taking 1 pill of detox essentials twice a day. Needless to say I had horrible sinus congestion, itchy skin and my hair seemed to be falling out. Yesterday I realized my error and loaded up on Detox essentials (4 pills 3x a day). My symptoms have gotten better today. I am sweating everyday for 30 minutes and following the diet. I was wondering if you had any advice on how to proceed. If you take either pharma or natural antibiotics, antifungals etc. If they are actually working, should you always experience some sort of die off? With skin conditions like rosacea, eczema, and posriasis, low HCL levels in the stomach are usually present. The Plan helps to raise these levels naturally, but you should probably supplement with HCL for faster results. Follow the HCL Protocol for determining how much HCL to use.   [End]

Those enzymes will be fine. The function of pancreatic enzymes takes place in the small intestine and people for decades have found benefit in their use, and continue to do so. If you want to maximize their effect taking them before a meal is usuallu suggested. There are definitely the deficiencies associated with low HCL levels in the stomach, a result of antibiotic use and fungal candida. There are the deficiencies associated with an absence of Lactobacillus bacteria in the intestinal tract, which are known to synthesize B vitamins and B vitamins play a role in absorption of all foods. Antibiotics wipe out the Lactobacillus and Candida inhibits their regrowth in the intestinal tract. Given that the largest number of bacteria are normally found in the large intestine, you potentially are going to come up short on the total number. Fungal candida results from antibiotic use, so that will be present. It can then create blood sugar imbalances and low HCL levels, which it seems like you’re also dealing with. I would do the Plan along with the Blood Sugar Protocol, and see if you HCL supplementation is necessary after a few weeks. The Plan helps to naturally stimulate healthy levels of HCL production, so there may not be a need for it initially.   [End]

The gut is one long fermentation tube and is highly anaerobic. Having low HCL levels can cause burping and alter the function and effectiveness of digestive enzymes, by altering the the liver/gall bladder and pancreas functions.   [End]

Hi Dr. Jeff, ... ... I am currently doing sweating in a portable infrared sauna at least 6 times a week. My existing anxiety has worsened over the past few weeks and am uncertain what the catalyst may have been. Perhaps a mineral loss from sweating? I purchased ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops and have begun to take these. I prefer to take calcium to magnesium 2:1 however. • Candida and stomach pain and fermentation by radaraurora   38 days  200

Does anyone know if its possible that having a candida overgrowth could cause bad stomach aches after consuming anything fermented. A few moths ago i started reacting to kombucha, any beer done or alcohol. i get a bad stomach ache and a bit burpy and general terrible feeling about 20 minutes after a few sips of anything like this. Whereas normally i could drink lots of kombucha or beer with no problems.. i thought maybe it might be candida since acid reflux, ulcers and the like have all been ruled out by doctors.   [End]
    • Re: Candida and stomach pain and fermentation by Dr.Jeff   38 days  186

Yes, once you have taken antibiotics and destroyed the bacteria in the stomach, fungal candida sets up and controls which bacteria grow back. This alters digestion and function. Alcohol will dilute HCL levels in the stomach and increase permeability of the intestinal tract. The body can then have cross-reactivity to the fungal toxins present in beers, and other alcohols.   [End]

It should be okay. I don’t think that it has any particular effectiveness against fungal candida, though. All oils have antifungal properties.   [End]
