I tried doing a retention enema with sea salt and water. I only got a couple cups in, and did it with my legs up to my chest. But it made my hemorrhoids worse; its been like a week and they are finally getting better. I used plenty of KY and did not force the hold, let it come out on its own. I really want to move up to coffee enemas but scared since it is absorbed through hemoroidal viens. ... ... Has this happened to anyone else? ... ... Can I get any tips so this won’t happen again? ... Maybe lay on my side with one leg up? [End]

Hello, ... ... I’ve been suffering from depression pretty constantly for the last decade or so. It’s waxed and waned, and right now it’s definitely getting worse than it’s ever been. If it continues at this rate, I’m worried that everything I’ve worked so hard to achieve will disappear in a cloud of apathy and misery. ... ... I’ve also had daily headaches for about 4 1/2 years. I don’t recall any particular event or injury starting these headaches. Most of the time it is pain behind my right eye, and sometimes it spreads behind my forehead and down to my jaw. Sounds like me.What is helping is cranial therapy. Also I have decided and not confirmed as of yet. MTHF a way one absorbs folic acid etc can have a major impact on oneself in many ways other than headaches. I had migraines almost daily and have been doing the 5mthf supplements etc....and with the therapy I feel like major shifts are taking place. Life has been HELL! I have had ongoing problems for YEARS...I stumbled on the MTHF by reading forums like this one. Check that out and see if it doesn’t ring MEGA BELLS! Good health to you [End]

We can’t ignore the energy boost and mental alertness that comes from coffee but we can’t forget the caffeine addiction that also comes as a part and parcel of coffee towards a negative side. I have given up caffeine as of about one week ago. I can understand your dilemma about giving up addictions like caffeine and sugar. Caffeine is definitely easier than sugar, but I try to dose them low personally. Like a light roast coffee once a day or something sugary at one sitting a day. Perhaps don’t deny yourself sugar, but lower the dose or limit the amount of intake. Your mind will weaken if you deny yourself things and you may break and overindulge. This should be a controlled lowering until desire and cravings diminish. When you can look at something you used to enjoy and NOT have a true craving is when you’ve conquered the addic ...

Dear souls, please take 5-10 mg of an over the counter adrenal hormone, DHEA, if you experience anxiety. If you feel better in 20 minutes, you have adrenal collapse/adrenal insufficiency. Women should then take the KETO-7 form of DHEA as it doesn’t form collateral hormones; men can take up to 25 mg as it is a more masculine-type hormone but one women need. DHEA is depleted by stress, loud noise, sugar, caffeine, nicotine; and the adrenals are fed by mineral salts like kelp and good fats and oils like a good ribeye steak and olive oil. Hi CR8909, Happy New year! Coffee is not a diuretic but more like a laxative. It usually causes activation of certain enzymes in the liver that increases peristalsis. Tea (depending on the type) is more of a diuretic. You could be allergic to coffee or something in your coffee.. Try switching to regular tea and see if that helps your edema. Don’t do salt water flushes if you have edema. No Master cleanse either. Has your doctor checked your potassium level? I don’t have much time today but will write to you soon. Can a single item, substance, or activity be so provocative and gratifying that a mere passing participation in it is enough to hook you? Or is there something more at play? Too often the blame is placed solely on what a person is addicted to. It’s easy to say that the drugs give you energy, or calm you down- or that Warcraft puts you in another world, drinking numbs you to the pain, and that pornography takes the place of a relationship. Sounds simply like a case of ingesting sugar (flavored kefir) and gettting a flareup - very common. Just take some antifungals, elminate ALL sugar from the diet, and it shodl clear up soon. Lots of folks have good luck with home-made kefir, but I’d avoid sweet flavorings. [End]

I agree with all of that. ... ... The actual act of quitting anything is easy, once the person has convinced themselves they have the power. Well, I think all the recommended doses on all bottles are power doses; they’re usually way too high (1,000% of the RDA for instance) and if you took all they say to take you won’t absorb most of it. So following directions is mega dosing. :) Cutting the directions in half is usually more appropriate. [End]
