I’m not a ward of the State, my health is my responsibility. I can get free healthcare at the VA but I quit two years ago even allowing them a shot at a yearly checkup. If I become desperate I will go to a chiropractor and pay in cash. As of right now my health is perfectly fine, better than many teenagers I’ve seen and out worked. As far as the health insurance mandatory payment, hell I don’t even pay income tax as it is. [End]

it is already that law that, starting in 2014, taxpayers will be fined if they do not maintain government approved health insurance... that said, the fine is small for 2014, and varies based on your income... the fine is likely far less than the cost of useless health insurance, and in event, not entirely clear how the fine will be enforced by those who are not W-2 wage earners... there will likely be many issues with the implementation of this law, including a strong liklihood of blowback from people who lack the money to buy insurance or pay a fine... so, stay tuned... ... ... my own take ...
