Almost everyone i have talked to with lyme tests negative for celiac yet cannot eat gluten, dairy, soy, artificial sweeteners, etc. what is the root cause of the gluten intolerance? I have been gluten free for years with not much improvement due to cross-contamination in the environment. I can even react just driving down the road and passing a (nasty) fast food place. ... ... ... I wish there was some supplement or herb that I could take which would reverse the reaction. It has ruined my quality of life. I dont’ really get much pleasure out of anything anymore. I feel like a robot

Info I found informative. Very technical / informational– Dr to Drs about celiac & gluten-free. If I understand correctly, one who is sensitive can NEVER EVER think they can have a hint of gluten, thanks to our “memory cells”. Yet the video says we must heal the damage in the gut. So much for the thought of an occasional donut… Yet after 9 months (did not take any supplements mentioned in video), I can tolerate granola one day a week, breaded chicken or fish without arthritis pain. But that is my gluten sensitive experience. ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=DjvKrAvolMQ&feature=en ...

I also wanted to say that I believe that it is almost, if not entirely, impossible to cure adrenal fatigue while candida is rampant in one’s body. So addressing the candida overgrowth is imperative to healing. I believe that the raw vegan diet helped me return candida to normal functioning levels and has allowed me to focus on restoring my adrenals. It provided me with a vast amount of nutrients that has given my body the ability to heal itself. [End]

Your self-observations are excellent. You are correct, it is very difficult to overcome AF when you have a severe yeast infection, and almost impossible to recover until you address the cause, which may be a yeast infection, and in some cases it is. I have written a great deal about this very topic in my book, and consider the relationship between AF and candida a ”missing link” in recovery of one or either these conditions. ... ... Most all chronic yeast infected patients have AF. But not all AF patients have candida. Strong adrenals can turn a chronic yeast infection into a condition which c ...

Could not have been said better. I too have a similar issue where I have tried just about everything with little to no results. The cause on my part is adrenal fatigue but to get rid of the AF I need to treat the candida. To get rid of the candida I need to treat the adrenal fatigue. Total catch 22.. I think DR Eric is right about the fact that it is more lifestyle issues than anything. I learned that the hard way after spending over time 10K dollars trying to cure myself with no luck. ... Good post but the situation is more complex than this. Our adrenal fatigue is due to an overactive nervous system, but changing our lifestyle and ”taking stuff” is not enough to fix what is causing our nervous systems to be overactive. People may feel better doing these things but it’s sure to be short lived. [End]

Yes, the supposed ”candida diet” was also very bad for me. I had good short term effects from a raw vegan diet but long-term made things worse. I do very well on a balanced diet with plenty of healthy carbohydrates, seems to be the most important thing for me. I also believe the best way to cure candida is to repair the immune system (also the nervous system) and the body will get the candida under control on its own. [End]

I’ve had that. The inside of my cheeks and all around my gums would all be blistered and peel off every day for about 5 years. Then I went to a dentist who told me I was likely allergic to my toothpaste. I switched around (took a couple years) until I finally found a toothpaste that worked for me. Turns out I was allergic to some of the common added flavors in toothpaste. I use a non-flavored toothpaste now, and no longer peel in my mouth. [End]

Have you tried looking in to holistic medicine? I dont claim to know anything about anything but- the symptoms youve described and maybe AF too, sounds very much like a vata condition as defined by Ayurveda. You know what, sometimes it takes what it takes. I am having such severe allergic reactions that I am about to start prescription anti-histamines. I don’t plan on taking them for the rest of my life but for now I need them while I heal.I can’t even eat anything without my throat swelling up. I can’t heal if my body is in a constant state of allergic alarm. Sometimes a more integrated approach is definitely needed. Do what you gotta do, just stay away from those benzos :) [End]

Yes! I agree with all you guys. I finally found a functional doctor that works with adrenal and thyroid, and made an appointment. This is going to be the ticket to health, I know it is! He’s functional MD too, which helps. I can’t take HC alone, w/o expert guidance. I did take 5 mg’s of HC today, and felt really good. Drove 60 miles, and fixed a broken vending machine of mine. I’m getting very close to turning the corner here guys. Thanks for the support :) [End]

You make some valid comments, but it is sad that you don’t fully realize the validity of Dr. Wilson’s work. I’ve know this doc since 2006, have spoken with hundreds of patients who have been 100% ”cured” (if you like using that ”C” word) using his protocols. The problem with AF is this: not many docs really understand this condition, they pay lip service when it comes to helping their patient understand the causes of this condition. In my books, lifestyle (including diet) accounts for 80%+ of the cause. Pills ain’t gonna cut it with ANY syndrome, unless the lifestyle is fully addressed. Mo ...

Dr. L Wilson? I’m sorry, I have not heard about this doc. The only Dr. Wilson I know is Dr. James L. Wilson, the person who named the syndrome ”adrenal fatigue” in the nineties and who has spent most of his life studying stress and the adrenals. His presentations in Australia and NZ have changed the way practitioners view and treat AF. It is unfortunate that there are many self-proclaimed ”experts” out there when it comes to AF. I’m still a student of Dr. Wilson when it comes to AF, even though I have treated patients for twenty five yrs. ... ... Once a doc fully understands the significance o ...

This is in response to Eric Bakker’s post: ... ... I’ve been on Doctor Wilson’s protocol for 8 years now (Adrenal Rebuilder and Adrenal C). While it has helped me tremendously, I am far from healed. I don’t think you can heal from extreme Adrenal fatigue. And that’s the part I think Dr Wilson writes misleadingly about in his book. Take my supplements and you’ll be cured, he says. You’ll feel better than before, but cured? Please! Far from. ... ... Ricky ... ... ps ... And I’m one who stands up for his protocol, and wonder why more people don’t try it instead of focusing only on Dr. Lam or the other Dr. Wilson.

I’ve been going at this for 6 years now, and the more I try this, that, and the other things, the more I realize that it might just be more of a spiritual journey than anything else. Hi there, ... ... Food for thought indeed. Good point about”positively, realism and sincerity” from a naturopathic doc’s perspective. ”Health plans” as you put it are my pet peeve too, although we do need some structured guidelines for patients to follow, all treatments need to be highly individualized in order to be most effective, and that is where the challenge lies. People living longer nowadays is a myth. This has been debunked. I guess any white carbs but on here they do say to stay away from all gluten, starch and sugar. The parasites supposedly love these foods, hence why we crave them. I thik they’re probably happy eating whatever we eat though. I just see the importance of being healthy is to help build our immune system and to eventually feel better. Also cos the meds must be quite harsh on the body too. What does your diet consist of? [End]

Mostly good? What do you consider mostly good? Most of the time when one has such problems you can look at the diet and find the solution. You must change your diet and realize if you do not it will cost you health and years of life. Brown rice is better than white rice and has the vitmain b’s still intact but there are better things to consume. It may take some time but moving towards a raw foods diet is my suggestion. Not just a diet but a way of life. If it is not the way nature made it don’t eat it. If it is processed in any way do not eat it. If it comes in a can,or is in a package do ...

Hi Eric, ... ... You are certainly not s*** out of luck, you have plenty of scope to turn this thing right around. With how sick you are, I would not do any herbs/supplements right now. What your eating is huge. Just changing your diet to no sugar/grains and eating healthy would help. Every little bit weakens them, and sloughs off the layers. Take this slow and see what happens. Ginger and garlic sounds good. Then add other things a month or two later. [End]

Yes. These contributors have a lot of good remarks for you. Good luck in your journey to better health. Why eliminate sugar and grains? Well...parasites love to feed on sugars, starches (and gluten) from wheat, oats, barley, and rye. However, they are not picky, they will eat rice, and gluten-free grains as well. White sugar, honey, agave all sweeteners is best eliminated. Parasites do not like an alkaline environment and you only get that with fresh, raw vegetables, carefully washed and peeled, if not organic. Green juices, like chlorella and spirulina are also good to destory para ...

I can highly recommend a pubic hair analysis for heavy metals. Pubic hair is not generally colored, it grows slower and is a better substance to verify the presence of heavy metals. It concentrates toxins more so than head hair. I have done hair testing for 15 years and use many labs, but always request pubic hair if there is the slightest possibility of colored, permed, dyed or bleached hair. Bear in mind that HPLC mass spectrometry can determine even the tiniest amount of heavy metal, which means the tiniest speck of hair contaminate will show up quite strongly. Food for thought. [End]

There are in fact eight different home tests you can perform for candida to determine your level. The spit test is a valid test, but like any test - it is best not used as a stand alone diagnosis for a yeast infection. My book Candida Crusher outlines the different tests in detail. Anybody with chronic and especially recurrent thrush will most certainly have intestinal candida to deal with. Yes, mercury amalgam fillings are worth removing indeed, they can be a real headache. In fact, my yeast infection came about in the 1980’s after thirteen amalgam fillings were replaced with new ones. My ...

To me it sounds like your body isn’t being properly nourished with the right nutrients, which we can receive from food sources. Proper diet, hydration, rest, and sunlight can make a world of difference. I would research Dr. Douglas Graham and the 80/10/10 diet. It is a raw vegan diet high in carbohydrates and low in protein and fat. Keep in mind that supplements don’t heal the body, rather the body heals itself when it receives proper nutrition, rest, sunlight, and clean water. [End]

If you still wish to remove your amalgams by all means do what makes you feel best. But until then a little research never hurt anyone. Try looking into Dr. Douglas Graham and the 801010 diet, or even this website: www.30bananasaday.com. Some people on here may recommend against this particular diet because for some reason they fear sugar, but sugar in its most natural state is not harmful to people even those suffering from candida. If you are to try it, you must do it to a T and 100%. You can’t cut corners. And give it some time as well. You wouldn’t expect immediate results from a suppl ...

It’s relative. Depends on how you define healing. For me it means that I am not suffering from severe brain fog and am able to string words together to form sentences and to analyze college level problems on a daily basis without being overly stressed. I am not saying it is end all be all, but it is a path to wellness I believe. Even the GAPS diet requires a minimum of two years of adherence to heal the gut. ah yes.. you are correct, i did say that about the sweet potato and it did make me feel bad after eating it. However, you misinterpret what I said about the downfall.
