Low-carb diets with antifungals work for some with candida overgrowth temporarily, but it also reduces dramatically beneficial bacteria. Hey, I would return all that stuff you bought and go with the McComb’s plan. Vitamins and herbs should be taken with a very specific purpose (to get rid of candida I know, but they also need to work with your individual body and that gets more complicated). I have never done the McComb’s plan, some people have had good results others are not cured completely from it, I think it depends on how severe your candida overgrowth is. As I said, STOP the antifungals, meaning oil of oregano and garlic included. They’re also antibacterial, and the fact that natural antifungals are selective against bad fungus and bacterias is a myth. I had EC for about a year, After I started the diflucan and putting oxistat on 2-3 times a day, it took me about 3 months to really call myself healed. I still have scarring from all the times my lips peeled, but I will take that over the alternative any day. [End]

My derm didn’t say anything about candida in my intestines, probably because he tried to spend as little time with me as possible because Doctors have very little knowledge about EC. I figured most of this stuff out by trial and error. Overall after i took the Diflucan and used the Oxistat and got plenty of sleep, my lips kept gradually getting better and better over the course of 3 months. But I had EC for a year before this. When I went to see my Derm, I made sure i did not peel my lips before I went so he could see them at the end of their cycle. He then scraped a small sample off them onto a slide and examined it under a microscope to determine if it were candida or not. [End]

It sounds like you have what I have except I do not get crusty scabs. Did you mean to describe the crusts as thickened, dead skin build up since that is what I get instead of scabs. If that is what you meant, then we may have similar conditions. I believe inflammation inside my body is the cause for inflammation in lips. The moisturizing method might help others who have this condition from lip biting or picking, but I do not believe it will help me since inflammation in my body is a chronic condition. i personally think it is ec... sounds like a more severe version of what i have... my lips never peel... only time my scabs come off is when soak them for half and hour... the skin color is normal to only white when wet... perhaps some of us have callus type disorders, and those with the constant yellow crusts have corns forming? ... just a thought but my ec looks nothing like some of the other posters here. But it has lasted since, with no improvements. And the main things that lead me to question if it is EC or not, is the amount of pain and burn I feel, and the total absence of a peeling cycle. I do not think you face any dangers when using the magnetic pulser, certainly not electropollution or electroporation. ... ... i was in the sun surfing 24/7 so yeah dont know! ... ... i did start using chapstick about 6 months prior to having ec becasue my lips were i dont know not feeling right. now was it becasue this is the symptoms of ec i dont know or was it i just had dry lips i dont know. ... ... but i do know millions of people use chap stick daily and dont have ec. and i defs dont think 6 months of chapsticks can do this! At the time I acquired EC, I did not go outside much or get exercise. One cause of psoriasis is lack of sun exposure. I wondered if this was the reason for my EC. But I read about a guy with EC who worked all day in sun and still had EC. Phototherapy is supposed to be more effective than the sun. Isn’t someone here supposed to try it soon? [End]

Yeah, I did laser photo-therapy for about 7 months. I’m not cured, but I am significantly better. Before therapy, my lips were as bad or worse than the worst of the pictures I’ve seen on this forum. Now, there is just a thin layer of scales on the inner half of my lips. It doesn’t really bother me anymore and I don’t have to worry about people seeing my lips. I came across this thread about sun damage on lips. Daniel, you might be safe from actinic cheiltis since both your top and lower lips are affected (read the info in link below). Right now, only my lower lip is affected. My question is can you have actinic cheiltis without any precancerous cells in a biopsy? Or would the treatment be the same if you had no precancerous cells? Because I had this so long, wouldn’t I have precancerous cells by now? Have you kept that same crust on this whole time? That really is amazing. Your top lip looks great where you have no crust and I think when that bottom crust comes off your lips will look great and you will probably just get one or two crusts where the lips aren’t quite healed, well done your past the worst of it. I would trim down the crusts as much as you can with nail scissors to take the excess off and leave only the crusts still physically attached to your lips. [End]

Yeah they’re stickin all the way down lol. And I’ve been expirementing with not letting any air get underneath so that it stays moist inside when the liquid builds up thinking it will in turn shorten the healing process. If this proves to be correct then maybe all we need to do is get a covering for the lips where air can’t get in at all, like some for of tape or liquid glue safe for the skin...my thoughts. I don’t let water touch my lips either...yes I get the liquid build up underneath, but it isn’t really white, it’s more clear to brownish looking, like the same liquid that you get when you have a scab. But I don’t recall it smelling foul, and I’m certainly not feeling ill...you’re showing signs of infection because when you have an infection you feel ill. But I couldn’t be certain so I’d suggest you at least let a doctor look at it and make sure it’s okay, if it’s been doing it this whole time then perhaps that is just how your body is healing so I’m not really sure...but yes I do get liq ... You have the ”classic” case of exfoliative cheilitis and this will prove to myself and everyone that there is a method of healing this. Many people are too scared to do the leave it alone method in fear that after all their effort it may not even work (myself somewhat included). I am with you 100% that the natural way is the way to go, however it is extremely difficult for anyone to have to go thought this ”all natural stage” and as much as i want to be cured, given everything that is going on in my life now it is simply unbearable for me to go though this. This morning I awoke having the crusts fallen off, and my lips now look normal, even with the grooves back. That’s really exciting! Let me know how long it takes before the skin turns hard again, each week the time frame should get a bit longer. If you’ve only had EC for 6 months you are very ”luckY” so your healing time should be considerably less than most people’s who have been dealing with this for years. ... ... Let me know if they are healed or not, and, if not, how the skin is looking after a week or so. Oh an as for showering with a bag over your head, I guess that’s one way to do it, I just avoid letting the water touch my face and it is working really well as well. [End]

Admire you for doing this and I can see improvement. Only advice I would give you is to get some nail scissors instead of clippers as you will find it easier to trim the loose skin. Also I would trim more regularly than once a week it wont affect the healing underneath, leaving so much crust provides a great environment for bad bacteria and funghi to breed so I would avoid leaving it that long. Thank you for your message! I’ll look into nail scissors, as sometimes the nail clippers pull on the skin, so that sounds like a good idea! ... ... However on your other comment, if you start this you will see that it is all about ”leaving them alone” I have never once had any bacteria grow in a scab on my knee or arm or anything, no matter how long...also I’ve been doing this for almost three months now and have had zero problems. Hey... ... ... so 1...when I feel a sneeze coming on I try very hard to control my mounth and keep it closed, and sneeze though only my nose. Keep your teeth tighly closed and make sure your lips are together and kind of ”go with the flow” so to speak so it comes out smoothly through your nose. ... ... 2...yes lauging is the most hardest thing to control and when I laugh I have to forcefully keep my lips together and much as possible...it’s very hard and yes it can cause the skin to tear, but it’s just something you’ll have to deal with, I always make sure to let my family know not to make me laugh ... I have been doing the same thing for months although my crusts were never as thick as yours they were thinner from the beginning but still its been the same process. I’m nearly healed now so can vouch that it definately works. One thing I would say if you want a break and are going a little mad then I steam my lips unroll they are very wet and wipe away the fresh skin and go for a night out. Its good to have a release and it doesn’t cause your progress to be ruined the healed skin remains and then you just carry on with your healing. [End]

This may seem obvious, but have you tried the basics like increasing water intake? Or increase intake of good fats, i.e., coconut oil, fish oil, avocados, flaxseed oil? A prime example of killer remedy for couple days and then nothing is when I started kefir. After couple weeks had a massive die off with a capital M. I discontinued use after a few months as making kefir and shuffling inventory became more trouble than it was worth. Simply put, I felt no benefit whatsoever. ... ... Its almost near impossible to "effectively" get rid of candida while working and trying to raise kids at the same time. The toxic overload is just too much to handle to function properly. By the time I start to feel like im making some progress i have to quit because the die-off is just too much to handle. It literally just makes me want to lose my mind. I’m 21 now and I took accutane when I was about 16. I can tell you that your daughter’s acne was simply a symptom of a much bigger problem internally. My health was very poor at that age and I experienced unhealthy emotions as a result. Hormonal health is a very important factor in determining mood and emotion, and acne is one sign that these hormones are unbalanced. I am not sufficiently familiar with Accutane to pass judgement. But for a dermatologist suggest that acne has nothing to do with diet, is not entirely correct. I know that a zinc or B6 deficiency can cause acne, but so can hypoglycemia. ... ... What were you expecting in just 10 days????? While one does detox eating raw. When you are eating raw solid food any detox would be so gradual that that is not something you would prolly even notice till months down the line. If you have any” realistic” notion to detox then you need to start thinking in term or juice feasting or fasting. Thank you for the information! I just don’t know what I’m doing - for several days I was getting rid of lots of yellow gunk from my nose and mouth and my urine was dark. Then, it stopped and I didn’t know if I was doing something wrong. I will definitely check out juicing. [End]

You’re definitely on the right track with a raw diet and lots of juicing. But gradually and properly you need to get off the pharmaceuticals. ... ...
