Thank you Katherine,
I could really do with that hug from wisconsin, thank you :). You went through this with your mum, and amongst all the despair, I'm glad you found peace with her. I just can't reconcile that not only do I have ALS at 27, but a form that gives me no time to try to stop it with alternative methods, or to raise proper awareness of the disease. I have heard of Dr. Kervorkian, and I don't see him as a criminal at all. My mum and dad are immigrants from Europe, and have no idea such diseases even existed, it was hard enough for them to accept my sister has MS (she is living normally doing fine by the way). The self-guilt and feeling of despair are literally unbearable. The only solace I really have is to sleep at night, and even that has been taken away from me because this disease messes with your sleeping patterns. I have a tremendous network of family and friends, and thinking about it just perpetuates the feeling of "what could have been". I wanted to travel, have a career, wife, kids, and am distraught that this won't happen. As hard as it is, you just have to put on a brave face and push on. I appreciate the invite to email you, and the links to the ALS patient from Boston, I will email you furher updates, and I thank you for your understanding from the bottom of my heart.
