Parasites - How do we know?

I have completed a parasite cleanse each of the last three years.  I used MH's formula one of those years.  I have never seen any parasites to speak of.

I have very little money right now and these products aren't inexpensive.  I am willing to spend the money if I need to, but how do I know if I have parasites?  I don't want to waste my money, but I do have adrenal / thyroid / weight issues and I read that I could be wasting my time/money to address those issues until I am sure I am parasite-free.

I am always working on my diet, which is getting better all the time.  I would say a 4 on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best.
