Telman, thanks so much for that detailed explanation.

I've done 7 of them so far with the highly recommended S.A.Wilson's (of Canada) coffee enema blend, and though I first started doing them because I can only do a Liver Flush once a month and found symptoms came back too soon (and I cannot cope with the symptoms too well), later I started doing them as pain relievers. They are often times miraculous instant detoxifiers, for me, if I eat the wrong things (usually without knowing they are wrong.. I get away with junk one day but not the next... namely sugary baked goods ... or dark chocolate.. or some of my detox methods hit me too strongly, like coconut oil) and feel headachy and nauseous, doing a coffee enema actually rids me of all my sickness for the day. However, even with a follow up of 3 water enemas, I do not seem to be able to get rid of all that is released, and on day two or three after the CE, I end up feeling even more irritable than beforehand, as if toxins are being reabsorbed. Drinking ES the day after might help rid this problem, though it isn't an option for me to drink ES without stopping breastfeeding.. something i only reserve for the LF. Do it as early in the day as possible, as the caffeine can cause jitters. I have found that doing water enemas is essential, or else the jitters border on hyperventilation, panting, heart racing.

Unyquity, a member here, has good advice, search out some of her posts. She said something about keeping it low in the colon, not massaging it upwards, researching where the veins are that need to be in contact with the coffee solution.. keeping it lower helps prevent some of the coffee jitters. I usually try to retain it for over 20 minutes, usually at 20 minute mark, I feel lots of crampy sensations (like wanting to purge) but I believe those are beneficial to the detox. The longer you go, supposedly the better, however I also find it can just cause more caffeine absorption. My first time I did not do a water enema, and after 1.5 hours after the enema, I was panting heavily.

After reading a thread here on colonics, and their potentially harmful effects (mostly the unnatural introduction of water or other tonics into the colon, removing beneficial flora and mucus from intestine lining), something i've done a few times as recommended by A. Moritz, I'm wondering if doing the water and coffee enemas is a bad thing. I usually do a series of about 3 water enemas the day of and day after the liver flush, and one prior to the coffee enema, and 3-4 after. I do not know if I can get something like Oxypowder here (in ireland), or if there are ingredients in it that I'd be sensitive to, as I have a huge load of food allergies and do not do well with many supplements.

There is a forum here for coffee enemas or at least enemas. Some people do it instead of the liver flush. I found some chaff came out during one coffee enema and saw some bright bluish green bile after the first one (when I didn't do water enemas until late), so I knew something was happeneing.

Another thing I can recommend for suppressing congested liver symptoms is a raw beetroot salad. It's almost better than taking a motherload of vitamin B for relieving stress and irritability.
