Re: Should I try this? or not!

Everyone thanks for your responses! To be honest, my parents have kind of always kept me away from conventional medical treatment after years of my mom having no success with it for all her health problems. The only exception was when they thought I was going to die from dehydration with a severe mono infection, so they rushed me to the hospital and I spent a week there being pumped with all kinds of stuff. I was never healthy after that, but my mom and I have been trying ever since to find answers. We both have similar symptoms which are severe fatigue, horrible digestion, cold all the time (me especially on that one), all over body aches, depression, etc. ---all the typical chronic fatigue symptoms, hypothyroid symptoms, adrenal insuffeciency. My mom was diagnosed with all of these things by a natureopath about twenty years ago. She had to travel to go see him, and I was in school so I couldn't go with her, but just tried to follow what all she was doing. I remember doing liver cleanses when I was eighteen---I'm 32 now, but we didn't understand then that you had to keep at them, and not stop, to get anywhere. But I have always been on some kind of diet for my health ever since I can remember. All my friends have always thought I was a complete weirdo, or had an eating disorder. But for at least ten years, I lived on a lot soy products thinking that was really healthy. I thought I was doing really good but had much to learn. Six years ago I came to the conclusion that candida was a real problem for me, and I have been trying to fight that problem ever since---what a battle that is. I've tried so many supposedly wonderful supplements for years and years too---I spent almost two years on almost every Garden of Life product they had to offer. I've been on almost a 100% raw food diet for two years now, but recently I had to eliminate all fruit because it just doesn't work for me. So now I'm doing raw seeds, green juices, raw eggs (which I know people have different opinions about but they are one of the only foods that don't cause me a reaction, and they are a good source of protein that I can eat raw. Anyway, I did get a test about a year ago for my thyroid (a much more accurate test than the regular one from a conventional medical place) and my thyroid was definitely low. I have been wondering what to do about that ever since because I have read if your adrenals are really weak, the thyroid medication may make you a lot worse, and I am sure my adrenals are weak since I have hardly any energy, and I have all the symptoms of adrenal insuffiency. But when I started reading about iodine, I got excited because I would really rather avoid drugs altogether. Anyway, I am thankful because I feel like I am learning more than ever about a lot of things that hopefully will eventually really improve my current state of health. All this has been a very long, disappointing journey, but I am hoping all that will start to change soon. My mom is going through all this too, but she doesn't have a computer, so I am always reading to her about things I find. She is excited about the Iodine too, but she keeps postponing when she will start out of fear of the detox. I told her just to start slow. I am sorry this is so long, but I hope it answers your (wombat and archus) questions. Like I said, I know I'm a difficult case. But since discovering curezone eight months ago, I have realized there are lots of difficult cases that have eventually gotten better, and that gives me hope to keep seeking answers. These forums amaze me that just anyone (no one even knows them) can write in and people are so kind to respond. Thank you!

P.S Sorry it took me so long to respond back. My husband and I are moving right now. I procrastinated all week on packing because I just didn't have the energy. Our deadline to get out of the apartment we are in is tommorrow, so no more procrastinating!
