I think that I'll pass on having the ERCP done! I have read about it and read about the horror stories of people getting pancreatitis and some even dying. I don't ever want to go through what I did again, I don't know if I would make it through again. So glad that you came out alive...

After reading your post I wonder if some of the pain that I am experiencing is from a mild pancreatic attack. I doubt that I will go to the E.R. for what I am experiencing (am hurting right now). I tend to not have a lot of trust in the medical field anymore. As long as I can deal with this and I don't think I'm dying, then I'll continue on helping myself. My last CT scan everything checked out OK, but the pain was not as bad as it was went I saw my doctor, nor as it is right now. It seems that you have to have the tests at just the right time for some things to show up. Like how you are feeling right now and just now getting to go for your Endoscopic Ultrasound. I will have to read up on that test. It may be something that I'll feel comfortable to do sometime. I told my doctor that I wasn't going to have the ERCP when she suggested it.

I may have had a stone blocking the bile duct or a large one that passed (no stones showed on the test...but no stones may have not shown due to a lot of sludge backed up) as the duct from the pancreas was ballooned up from its normal size.

I feel that now that I know things to due (thanks to curezone and the helpful folks here) that I'll keep getting better. I feel that it will be a long road, I didn't get this way over night, but it will be worth the journey in the end.

Yes, the Epsom Salts have been much helpful for me also. I never thought of using a little daily or when I felt that I needed them until bluandyelo posted that was what she did and how much it helped. It has helped me much since reading that. (Thanks bluandyelo!)

Regarding the meds; we do what we feel we have to do. I've learned much since that time, I know that my body will be better off without the meds or just using the pain meds for when I have migraines. It was interesting to read that you can help your pain by keeping your pH high. I believe that mine was low (not that I've tested it) but seems much better now since I've added the ACV daily. I also have been using a lot of fresh lemon juice.
