A few days (week?) ago, Trapper told someone to take Iodine hourly when this gal had a lung infection. I developed a bacterial infection (sinus and lungs - slimy green phlegm, with LOTS of coughing and hacking).

I don't have Lugol's, but I do have Iodoral. I am stubborn, and thought I was taking enough iodine. This morning, I decided to up the iodine, big time!

I am literally taking 50mg (4 tablets) every hour on the hour with 8 oz water. I have already learned NOT to eat when I get this stuffed up. If I must eat, it will be raw fruit, (or raw fruit and nuts if I get a craving for protein).

As of 2pm, my sinuses are already (the negative and miserable side of me is saying finally) opening up and draining - big time - and my lungs feel like they are opening up. I can literally cough just once now, and well, dislodge the crap in them.

This is working VERY well!!!!!! "Mama"'s gonna sleep much better tonight!

PS: Just saying, try upping the iodine, big time. I have not had any stomach problems doing this. I have also fasted before, so not eating when sick is not a problem for me. Problem with infections, of any kind, is that you don't want to eat anything that will take your healing energies away from fighting the infection. So, whatever you decide to do, you really do want to cut out all processed food, sugar, meat, anything that will cause more acidity and less alkalinity in the body.
