I agree that I do get a contact allergy when my lips come in contact from saliva- i really have never been one to lick my lips, but I know this because they would get extremely dark red when I would kiss my boyfriend (a lot). I am also allergic to fragrance, though, and that is what started this whole thing. I really think that mine were just so used to having lip balm on them ten times a day, and then when I stopped completely to find out what I was actually allergic to (doctors confirmed it was the fragrance, which is rare but still occurs), they just started cracking and peeling and never stopped.

Now, I am trying my absolute hardest to live a normal life. I barely look in the mirror anymore, maybe 5-10 times a day (because I have to when i brush my teeth, etc.) down from literally 80-100 times. I know a lot of people on here claim that if you ignore it and try to get on with your life that it improves a lot or gets better, so that's the approach I'm taking now. I've stopped taking all the supplements, and I only use either vaseline or blistex once a day. Hope this works =/
