It is difficult to tell people that their native "medicines" are dangerous. They feel that you are coming against their culture. I'm glad the girls are going to be okay. I feel badly for Maria because she obviously didn't seek to hurt her children. I think information and education are a good thing, but must be conveyed in a manner that is respectful to one's culture.
