So you bring up an excellent point, there is a spot where breath is not necessary
I have experienced it

But as a rule those walking around are breathing also

The ancient one knew breath to be the connecting tissue with life

Those breathing were connected to life through their breathIn act in Kundalini Tantra yoga, there is an ancient thought that says the quality of the peole surronding you is ascertained by breath or not exactly that

It is more the quality of the relationship is established by breathing areound each other, in haled and ex haling around each other breathing

This is the realtionship

For most I would say breath is natural and part of life
Sun is part of the ingesting process
