First step to better health...on $100

A friend who has been curious about all the little things I do asked what she should get in terms of supplements/food/etc. to have better health, although she is on a tight budget. Any ideas?

I thought it would be an interesting question for people at this forum -- if you only have $100 to spend, what do you spend it on?

My first things would be:

1) a bottle of iodine -- $20

For ingesting, topical use, etc.

2) a bottle of Spectrum org. sesame oil -- $6

For OP

3) 2 jars of EVCO: one for bathroom, one for kitchen -- $18 total

Use instead of soap/toothpaste, for starters; cook with it instead of any other oil.

4) 1 great big jar of Vitamin C ascorbate powder -- $16

I take it; I also put a teaspoon in baths to get rid of chlorine.

5) ACV -- $4

for taking by itself, putting on salads, for skin, etc.

6) a good oil-based bar soap -- $6

for washing, brushing teeth

7) a chicken or two -- $20

for eggs, wish we had room and no dogs and nice neighbors. I am paying a fortune for eggs!

8) seeds -- $10

to grow green leafy vegetables and some strawberries

I think that's about my first $100.

(I think my next would be toward getting local honey, a milk/butter source, some cod liver oil, etc.) But what does emerge from the exercise -- there is a lot you can do on a fairly small amount of money to feel better.

I'll look forward to hearing what all of you "First $100"'s are spent on...
