Fruit are an essential part of a balanced diet. To step away from them is a challenge.... yet unavoidable with candida.
At some point I had cranberry extract, papaya enzymes an bromelain (pineapple enzymes) for substitute and they were extremely helpful.... all the goodies, without the fructose.
However, whiloe on the candida diet, one should still try to eat some fruits on a daily basis. That is when lemon and lime get to be very precious.
Granny Smith apples are another option.
I believe that if you have it VERY mild, fruits are okay.
I had a severe case of candida. But although I am at a stage where I can reintruduce food I used to not tolerate before due to personal alleriges.... I am not willing to try fruits just now. THey can set you way back.
