a quick comment on blackwall effect...

This occurs mostly with neg. only ionization. The neg. ionizer emits neg. ions, charges the particles in the air, the neg. charged particles do not find enough positive charged particles, the wall carries a positive charge, and the neg particles attach to the wall. Most indoor environments are low on both pos. and neg. ions.

The nice thing about Ecoquest and also the Sharp unit is that they emit a balance of neg. and pos. ions ... no imbalance occurs; particles attract to particles and drop from the air.

I have many years experience using Ecoquest products and highly recommend them ... I have evaluated the Sharp units and they seem pretty well engineered as well.
