6 Year Old Boy --Stomach Pains, come and go, worse at night

My 6 year old son has been having stomach pains for 6 days now. The pains come and go, but they seem to get worse at night. They started after he had a long and active day. After not getting better after 24 hours, my husband took him to the emergency room where they tested his urine for kidney problems, diabetes, appendicitis, etc. and they did an ultrasound of that whole area down there. Every test was negative. That was four days ago, and tonight he was writhing in pain again for about 20 minutes. He is supposed to be on bed rest, but he got up and moved around today, and had the pain really bad again.

As far as his general health goes, he is very healthy and never gets sick. I have him drink a green smoothie about 3 days a week, and whenever a cold is going around he'll eat raw garlic.

Has anyone ever had an experience like this?

What do you think it could be?
