And that's the way it was in the home I grew up in, and not that long ago! (I'm 32). If anybody was too sick to go to school, after everyone else was off to school and the bus picked them up, my nana or mom got the enema bag out. It was just the standard procedure.

I personally believe that kids were healthier as a result, as compared to today when the medical profession frowns and even scolds parents for giving their children enemas.

But don't ever use Epsom Salts in an enema for anyone, adult or child. There is an informational topic here on CureZone that describes some cases of fatalities where epsom salts was used in enemas. If you are interested I'm sure I can find it. Castor oil is fine, but no childs favorite. I know I always preferred an enema to castor oil!
