Parsley
You want to find parsley root in a local store or somewhere. Use this feathery parsley tops and all to juice or add to the juices and also dried some for later if it becomes unavailable and also make a tincture with the parsley root and tops (I would make these separately through some fresh parsley in with the parsley root tops, The parsley root is especially concentrated and that is why I do not want you to dilute it. (you take 2 dropperfuls 3-5 times a day (30 drops or so makes a dropperful but to avoid counting drops squeeze the eyedropper top tot he tincture bottle (get these at health food store..they are brown or blue glass bottles with an eyedropper top..take some from your big tincture and put it in a tincture bottle replacing more when you run out) so squeeze the bulb, insert into the fluid herbal tincture and release bulb take from the bottle and consume..if desired add a spoon or two or water or juice to improve taste (grape juice is good--but straight is better) and chase with juice if desired. if you weigh a lot over or under 150 pounds (like 25 or 50 pounds or more either way, then use Clark's rule for dosing
go here to figure out dosing by weight http://www.curezone.com/schulze/handbook/CAD.asp
and also see save your life videos and manual on how to make a tincture
also use parsley root as a decoction (that is put some cut up in a pan (only use stainless steel or glass pans for your health get rid of aluminum and nonstick pans) with some steam distilled water and boil for 15 minutes and then drain and drink..you might save the root after cooking in the freezer and add to your potassium broth,. I always saved the veggie after making the broth in the freezer so adding to veggie soup after I went off the fast. I recommend fasting 30 plus days (if extreme hunger returns as it goes away after a few days of starting and over 60 days or so max and then going off it for a while but using a vegan 75-80 percent raw and 20-25% cooked diet and then restarting again after a while on solids..(maybe what 2-3-4-5-weeks later redoing the juice fasting again. But I think Schulze had real sick people stay on juice fast for longer but since I don't know how long this is my suggestion.
Herb teas are made two ways decoction and seeds. I told you decoctions are boiling the plant parts in distilled water for 15or so minutes. This method is used for hard parts of the plant like roots and hard, dried berries (like juniper berries for example) and the infusion is used for soft parts of the plant like flowers, leaves, and such. so roots (fresh or dried) for decoction and infusion for seeds and parsley and stems and dried when parsley is dried, use i tsp to each cup of water. distilled and steam distilled (preferred) is empty and it pulls more of the potent chemicals from plants so always use it for teas. If the parsley is fresh use larger amounts a handful of the green to a pint of water. Always cover the steeping herbs. also drink all fresh made juices within 15 minutes do not refrigerate to use later as the enzymes the key principle dissipates quickly..chew the juice to stimulate digestion.
An infusion is what we think of when we think of making a tea, you pour boiling water over it and let it steep for a while.
When making teas yourself, you can either just put n the water and strain it through a cheese cloth or thin mesh strainer or you can use a metal tea ball sold at health food store and discount stores sometimes to avoid needing to strain the herbs.
so for parsley you use all parts in various forms
parsley root--juice, eat (if eating solids), make a decoction tea, make a tinctures and use 2 dropperfuls (or more) 3-5 times a day (5 is more sick).make a tincture from fresh and/or dried or a combination. dry fresh or purchase on line in the bulk hers of online stores for making tinctures and teas when not available fresh.
parsley and parsley tops from the parsley root..use these in juice and also can make tea with them as a infusion steeping till all in the water, make tinctures from the fresh and or dried or combination of fresh and dried for use (same dose 2 dropperfuls 3-5 times a day
I seen no harm n adding some parsley seeds to the teas and you might even want to try to sprout them and add to salads when you are not juice fasting.
Christopher recommends for kidneys and dropsy and water retention taking at least two quarts of a strong decoction and drinking copiously..with a dangerous suppression of urine he says take 3-6 oz of the hot decoction every hour
he recommends taking parsley with other greens as a green drink. He says tea (and tinctures work fast and dried works slower..just eating it is great too if yo are not juice fasting..then use other forms in the liquid. when not fasting see the book (excellent) dining in the raw for an extremely tasty nutritious raw spinach soup which has a lot of parsley in it.(uses lemon juice, avocado, garlic, parsley, spinach etc) spinach is great for kidney with cucumber too so this soup would be excellent but it may be too thick to use when juice fasting..use it for when taking solids. He does recommend taking parsley juice moderately as it is highly concentrated and potent and works very quickly on the system It will throw off poisons too fast if used excessively and can cause serious upsets he says on page 269 of his book school of natural healing (snh 269)
he does say for dropsy which may apply here when a lot of water is retained to mix equal parts of parsley root tea and glycerine, saturate clothes and apply to swollen area..keep patient warmly covered in bed with tepid air circulation; this brings the water through the skin and helps relieve the burden on the kidneys. At the same time give parsley root tea without the glycerin as a drink--1/2 cupful each hour (snh 269) Also for water retention do the standing in water in a lake (preferred due to no chlorine) or a pool for an hour each day exercising while there if you can or hanging off the edge of a pool with toes pointed downwards if weak or desired. Also increases sweating will help this helps relieve some of the burden on the skin.
Parsley is specific to the adrenal glands and powerfully therapeutic for the optic nerves. the brain nerves, and the whole sympathetic system..excellent tonic for the blood vessels especially the capillaries and arterioles. rich in minerals and more iron than any other leafy green veggie./ high in vitamin a and b and three times as much vit c as citrus juices. remarkable for expelling watery poisons, excess mucous, flatulence, and for reducing swollen and enlarged glands etc. It has the following uses: it is a culinary, aperient, diurectic, tonic, antiperiodic (juice), carminative (seeds)m, emmenagogue (seeds), febrifuge (seeds) and vulnerary.
used for many diseases and it says for the kidneys, it helps congestion, irritation, inflammation)the fresh juice and seeds is used for intermittent fevers. also high blood pressure. and many other uses,.
Christopher lists this too
decoction--1/2 cup 3-44 times a day (root) but in your case he says at least 2 quarts
infusion 1 cup 3-4 times a day (herb.leaves)
fluid extract 1 teas or as I said use 2 dropperfuls of each 3-5 (preferred) times a day
oil 3-5 drops a day
He does list a formula for the kidneys
1 part parsley
1 part juniper berries
1 part buchu
1 part flax seed
infuse one teaspoon of well mixed herbs to each pint of boiling water and let stand until cool and strain...use of it 2 fluid oz every one to 2 hours until relief, then reduce
to void urine he say 1 part parsley and 1 part juniper berries (use i tsp to a cup of mixed herbs infused in boiling water cover and let stand till cool then strain dose is 2 fluid oz or more each hour until relief. Parsley also helps with kidney infections
