Hi. Yesterday, I came across the idea of urine therapy *accidentally* while searching for home remedies for poison ivy. I was revolted and intrigued all at once because I've never heard of this before and it seemed so barbaric. However, after reading all I could about it, I was and still am about 95% convinced that there really is something magical to "the waters of our own cisterns." I decided that I have nothing to lose besides my breakfast by trying it out. Before ingesting it, I tried it out on my poison ivy rash. I can't say I either did or did not notice any immediate change, partly because I had also been using peroxide, a scouring pad and Sunlight dish soap so it was hard to tell what worked or didn't. I've had chronic ear infections for years. It might be swimmer's ear because my ears are especially bad after bathing or a trip to the lake. Lastnight, while having a bath, I decided to try using some urine as ear drops. I peed in a cup, sat in the tub and worked up the courage to pour some of it into my right ear. I was and still am absolutely shocked that it actually worked. My ear immediately emptied out when I tilted my head and then felt dry and didn't hurt all night. Today it's still perfectly fine. If anyone had told me to try using my own pee as ear drops before reading of it myself, I might have had to laugh in their face, however, this really did work and I'm in total awe. Because it worked so well on my ear, I thought I might as well get brave and try the morning urine. I took two tablespoons of midstream urine this morning, which didn't taste very good. I didn't know what, if anything, to expect. Within about a half hour or so, I had one of the best bowel movements I've had in ages. I've had severe problems with smelly gas, bloating and abdominal discomfort of all kinds for a very long time, but today, I honestly felt about 80% better. I am mystified about this! This is almost too good to be true, but my ear feels great and I haven't been farting as much. Also, I don't feel even half as bloated as I usually do, so tomorrow I'll take more 'medicine' and see what happens. I figure I have nothing to lose by pursuing this line of therapy.
