Juice fasting tricks

When you juice your citrus, go ahead and juice it in the Champion, rind and all. There are scads of nutients in the rind that you would miss if you just juiced the inside.

The same goes for everything else. Put the whole thing- seeds, peel, everything- through the juicer to get the most out of your juice. But only do this if your produce is organic.

Dr. Schulze said he did this with his first 30 day juice fast. He did 2 quarts of fresh apple juice a day, and a quart of fresh prune juice. He said he couldn't believe what came out of him- parasites, casings from his colon, unidentified objects... and he felt fabulous at the end of the 30 days. He had no idea anyone could have so much energy.

He said a lot of people came to him and said they didn't get any results from juice fasting. Upon questioning, he found out these people hadn't done a proper bowel cleanse yet. If your bowels are working right, the juice will go right through because your intestines just can't absorb the juice.

On the IP, we are doing a MAJOR bowel cleanse at first. One tip he suggests is that during the first 30 days of the IP, you drink the juice with some added pulp in it. You want to create some really good bowel action. You want to push the toxins on through. Then, during the second 30 days, drink your juice without any pulp at all. That way, your body is able to grab the nutrients in the juice right away without much digestion. Your body's energy is used to heal and restore.

You don't want to do a juice only fast for any more than 60 days. After that you go to a raw vegan food plan.
