I'll paste the link again, the excerpt above is from "Candlelight" - they are free downloads in word format, but can see in html in another window if you prefer.
Some of the commentaries in the books are obsolete, as in Russia as a communist state, how countries wold shape up, etc., since these books were published so long ago, but the concepts are timeless and explained in layman's language. Mr. Rampa's experiences are said to have been fiction, but are nonetheless an interesting read.
I remember as a child laying perfectly still, concentrating, in silence trying to 'transcend' :) all the while sure I would not be able to, becasue I had not given up fried foods :))LOL... one of the precepts for a 'clean spirit' able to leave the body for a spell... :)(Big smile)
Enjoy.

[sorry link won't work] - just google "The Life and Writings of Dr. Tuesday Lobsang Rampa"] and you should get the link at first place [very strange...]
There is a page there with synopses of each of the books.
"The Life and Writings of Dr. Tuesday Lobsang Rampa
author of The Third Eye and other spiritual knowledge books
The books of Dr. Lobsang Rampa have introduced many thousands of people in the west to buddhist teachings and spiritual and metaphysical knowledge. Dr. Rampa was amongst the first eastern teachers to make this knowledge accessible to westerners in an easily understandable and enjoyable format and a forerunner of today's buddhist teachers such as Sogyal Rinpoche and Ringu Tulku. Dr. Rampa was a prolific author - his first book "The Third Eye" published in 1955, was followed by 23 more, and he continued to write until shortly before his death in Canada in 1981."
