perhaps if you elevate the head of your bed you might find relief... it worked for me... however... i still at times am awakened by what i consider trapped gas... which is always somewhat painful... but... i've found that if and when i manage to burp i get almost instant relief...

just trying to be helpful... so what the heck... try it... what do you have to lose... these days i have the head of my bed elevated 8"... and it does indeed take some getting use to... at first it will feel almost like sleeping in a sitting up position... and on those restless nights when i toss and turn... i sometimes awaken with my feet hanging completely off the matress... lol... ;-)
