I have a few suggestions. The first is to immediately go to a health store or co-op get a bottle of Sachromyces Bouldardi ("SB") and a bottle of acidolphilus caps--from my experience, a reliable brand is Jarrow, but there are others--look for the GMP stamp (good manufacturing practice)--companies have to meet certain criteria to get this stamp and it means you can reasonably rely that you've got a decent product. 1 readers agree with this message. SB is a friendly, nonpathenogenic yeast that will fight Candida in your intestines. It is especially important that someone who is taking antibiotics to orally supplement with SB because SB will fight Candida for space in the intestines and SB is lactic acid producing and will support your friendly bacteria. Keep supplementing with SB at least two weeks after you finish your antibiotics, possibly keep taking it longer--many people have had good results beating down Candida using SB.
Second thing and I am being serious here--with very clean hands, I would scoop out the cottage cheese stuff. Wash hands again and insert a couple of acidolphilus caps into your vagina--do this for several days to "reinnoculate" your vagina with friendly bacteria. The friendly bacteria will help keep bad bacteria and yeast in your vagina in check. I've done this myself and it really works well. I haven't had a vaginal yeast infection or bacterial infection for a few years now.
Third--Start taking the acidolphilus caps orally--space them a couple hours away from the antibiotic--keep up with this--since you are basically killing alot of bacteria (good and bad) with the antibiotics, you will definitely need to replace your friendly bacteria so that Candida will not get a greater foothold within your intestines because your good bacteria has been killed.
Hope this helps.
