Re: Need some help please - Is this possibly Candida?

Thanks for the encouragement, it is much appreciated. I've been trying to stick to a candida diet but it's so hard! I never realized how hard it would be. I was wondering if it's necessary to completely adhere to it 24/7 every meal? Is it ok to cheat once in awhile if you're on meds for it? Sometimes avoiding my favorite foods can have a big psychological impact on me. Especially since I'm a big restaurant goer (Claim Jumpers potato cheese bread bowls! :) ).

I've been taking the Diflucan and the anti-biotics as I should. I've also been taking Candidase, St. Johns wort, and some Chinese medicinal herbs (I was told they are designed to cool the "hot/warm damp" that my body is experiencing, or what my acupuncturist described as a 'Qi imbalance').

I've noticed a few things. The tickling and lump in the throat has increased, and so has my coughing and shortness of breath. However, my appetite has increased and so has my energy level.

I drink water and hear gurgling sometimes. Earlier after I ate some mini-hot dogs (no bread or condiments) and started a burping storm. It was like 3 burps in a row over and over.

I notice that if I drink cold water and bloat, I'll feel the coldness again. If I drink hot liquid/tea and bloat, I'll feel the heat. There won't be any burning associated with it though. Combine this with my other symptoms and I get scared that I might have "LPR" or whatever. I've read so many LPR horror stories that I'd rather have cancer than that and I'm serious (had a grandmother who died of cancer).

I wanted to ask you, is horseradish ok on the anti-candida diet? I love horse radish but I know most of it comes diluted in white vinegar. I've read mixed things about it. Some classify it as a "condiment" or a "fermentation" and say to avoid it. Others claim that horseradish fits into the same category as watercress at some levels and has the ability to actually fight candida. I've heard mixed things about other vinegar/yeast combos such as apple cider vinegar. Some warn against it for Candida, others swear by it and say it's what got them better.

Would you guys know any tasty things to eat on a Candida diet? I tried searching for anti-Candida recipes but they seem scarce.
