I was in the military too and NOW once invited me to speak on the topic "what it's like for a woman to work in a job that has been traditionally considered a male occupation. Thank you for sharing your perspective." I have no problems with her choosing to wear a veil. I am concerned that her reasons for doing so: to feel safe and to respect her dead husband, are causing her to feel afraid and suffer humilating sexual abuse that would cause her husband shudder.
