You know, I used to crave chocolate and
tried to eat some everyday. I had a freezer
full of great chocolates and my friend who
I live with loved chocolate so everyone
either sent her some or brought her some.
She would get monthly boxes of Godiva. We
had so much chocolate in this house we
could barely eat it fast enough. Well,
she and her husband moved to their center
in Arkansas and so I was left with tons
of chocolate and she said I could have
the monthly box of Godiva. So, I did
revel in the thrill of having so many
choices. I am not the kind of person though
who eats a whole bar in one sitting or will
even plow through a box. Instead, I carefully
chip off a mouthful and put the rest back.
THEN, I began using Virgin Coconut Oil and
my cravings for chocolate disappeared~! I
imagined it was my brain's need for oil
that may have kept my cravings at a heightened
level. Now, when I cycle, I still enjoy my
chocolate. When my daughter or a friend is
complaining with pre-menstrual symptoms I
always advise, "a piece of chocolate will set
you to rights". Certainly chocolate is a gift
to women. I am still working on a bar of
chocolate though that I started probably
a month ago. I enjoy it more now that I do
not feel it call to me every night. I doubt
I would ever give it up though.
With the Chinese tainted milk with melamine
scandal, I am even more careful not to eat
chocolate which is milk chocolate.
I sure am glad I did not incarnate as a dog
this life-time...ggg. My dogs probably would
not even like chocolate. They seem to love
milk-bones though and those silly yuck liver
treats, neither which appeal to me.
Really, really though, seems too much of
anything can be bad for you. Those of us who
enjoy living, seem to enjoy a chocolate now
and again.
When is the last time you had a bite or two
or three??

blessings,
Zoe
