Some people can tolerate it. I think it's important to listen to our bodies.

Another very important thing, IMO, is food combinations. Thats not something I see talked about a lot but it's made a big difference, a BIG difference in healing my gut.

I can handle a bowl of ice cream on an empty stomach just fine, but if I were to eat a bowl of ice cream for dessert after say, a plate of chicken and rice, MAN I will be SO sick for hours.

I can eat broccoli with alfredo sauce, but if I have broccoli, pasta, alfredo sauce (god forbid throwing some chicken in there too yikes) I am SICK AS HELL.

I've been making simpler meals with 2 combinations of things vs, this idea that we have to combine every food group in a meal, and it's helped a lot.

Of course some people can throw everything in their fridge into a pot and eat it and be fine, but people with weak digestion or conditions such as mine could benefit from eating this way.

Of course I showed this chart to my mom and she made a face and said "YEah right, who eats like that?"

..As if most americans are role models for diet? Hmmm...
