I love that quote, " "if a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound
if no one is there to hear it"
imagine yourself as a mass of soul and what is not soul. If we live for what is soul then we get a lot of what we lived for through the gate. We do have to coax what is not soul to go along with our souls' plan. If we are cruel overlords of what is not soul then we may get what our soul wanted and planned before we were born but we may leave a lot of non soul wreckage behind us. With moderation... we need to address what is not our souls' needs, even though it will never be remembered, It is a backwards kind of kindness because it doesn't matter to soul and will be forgotten forever but it does matter to what is left behind. Be kind to yourself, even when you are not being soul. It is more than forgiveness. Being kind to what doesn't matter is the last step...
