Genocide Is Genocide.

Yea Sara... I know. And when I post messages like I did in this case... it is with the full awareness that the person is most likely not going to return and has no interest in having a discussion. The reason why I post sometimes is because I know that OTHER people will read the thread and that way they will have more to think about.

It was very apparent to me that it was meant as a thinly veiled threat... nothing like a little economic blackmail to try and get people to come around to your way of thinking. Yea.. I got it.

I had not seen your post about the boycott... so I had not made the connection that it was a direct attack on you personally. I also think that its not JUST about you... but also about anyone who is supporting Gaza and sees very clearly that what Israel has been doing is GENOCIDE.

When you want to eliminate an entire group of people... you take their land and resources... and then you go after their women and children so that it extinguishes their chance of survival... until there are none left.

This is the OPPOSITE of what has been happening with Catholics and those of the far right... where they CLAIM to be Pro-Life... and take great measure to prevent birth control and abortion... provide insurance coverage for drugs like Viagra... and allow practices like polygamy... including allowing the sexual abuse of girl children to go unpunished... in order to increase their numbers.... but at the same time are some of the biggest supporters of the death penalty! Pro-Life? I think NOT. There only Pro-Life for those that they believe are worthy of staying alive and those who will continue to fill their collection plates! This is also what's behind Prop 8 and the attitudes towards homosexuals. They're not BREEDERS... so they are of no use to religious extremists who are hell-bent on converting everyone to THEIR religion.

These are some of the very reasons that Native Americans have ALSO been the target of GENOCIDE. As one of the only surviving MATRIARCHIES... they have been a threat to the PATRIARCHY. They were so terrified of the ghost dance that they outlawed it and massacred Natives at Wounded Knee... and they have doing the EXACT same things as far as relocating Natives... stealing their land and resources... ripping children out of their mother's arms and carting off to Christian boarding schools... allowing laws to be broken for the sale of alcohol on the reservations... allowing meth houses to stay in business... performing forced sterilization on Native women... not prosecuting rapists and other abusers of Native women... not addressing the epidemic of suicides among their teens... poisoning their water... allowing the ongoing displays of racism towards Natives such as the very common use of things related to Natives to be used as mascotts for sporting events... depriving Native men... who were a TREMENDOUS asset during the war such as the Navajo Code Talkers... of benefits and the recognition they deserve... and covering up government activity with false arrests and imprisonments of POLITICAL PRISONERS such as Leonard Peltier... and not launching a FULL and HONEST investigation into the death of Anna Mae Aquash that was SO violent and gruesome that it made me physically ILL when I read about it!
