I have been the type to "repress feelings" - then over time to be "explosive" over little things. Currently I have been going by "the feeling is the true" only miscommunication and misunderstanding need correction... When I feel real anger - I reflect the source of it - what has caused me pain - and address that if you will. Which has made me a much better communicator. Or more so to understand myself better...
I have always been one to blab 1st and think later (just in normal conversations). Not smart at all. Many times stepping on toes and not even realizing it. Then compounding the problem is the folks I stepped on "being nice" as not to confront me so I had NO CLUE that I had hurt them.. They suffered in silence and I went on my merry way... TOTALY OBLIVIOUS....
Now that I reflect more why I have this or that feeling - I can see my blunders more clearly... Which is good - I just wish this being nice thing did not exist - I would have grown much quicker and caused less suffering to others - especially ones close to me...
I put that in there for the folks who made do the same.... step 1 no repression step 2 wait till there is no anger before putting foot into mouth... and step whatever - being nice is not always the right thing to do.... It is acting - being fake... I know this has nothing to do with your post - Just felt it important to put out there just incase I am not the only m*o*o*n out there reading these posts....
Your input is very useful and well appreciated.
