I am also fasting to return to and maintain my Raw Vegan eating plan. I found out something important for me after I finished the last fast. I cannot eat ANY cooked foods. I had been fighting this realization for a year now and it was made crystal clear for me after I finished my last fast and thought that I could eat mostly Raw, but have cooked food on the weekends. NOT!

This is how the cycle has played out for me since I discovered Raw foods a year ago: I would be doing 100% Raw for about two months at a time, loving it, looking good, feeling good, losing weight and BAM, one bite of cooked food and I 1. don't want raw any longer; and 2. I spiral out of control to the point where I am ONLY craving cooked foods.

I fought the whole "cooked food addition" thing for a long time, but must finally admit that for me, I have to stay away from cooked food as if it was a drug in order to maintain my Raw Veganism. I am so psyched to have come to this conclusion and ready to embrace Raw wholeheartedly 100% after this fast. I'm loving the time away from food to contemplate my upcoming new life as a 100% Raw Vegan and the challenges and joys this will bring to my life.
