It comes down to this, eat healthy and your body will get healthy. No one can tell you what foods to eat because everyone is different, find a diet that works for you. For me personally, using an alkalizing diet for a short period of time was very helpful. I found almost immediate relief from arthritic type symptoms and constant nasal congestion.

The original poster makes many good points (although I admit I didn't read any of the links). Your body goes through great lengths to keep various parts of the body at optimal ph levels (these vary throughout the body). When the body has trouble balancing the levels, due to poor health or diet, that is when the ph balance is thrown off. The fact of the matter is that many people do have an overly acidic diet and this is not healthy for the body regardless of the candida overgrowth issue. But we shouldn't make generalizations and say that everyone should follow an alkalizing diet. Everyone should follow the diet that suits what their bodies need.
