I admire the courage of the poster to post her experience with iodine, negative or not... this is beneficial for all those who may be inclined to over do it. I also am not apposed to ML posting it in his forum... I would have never seen it otherwise.

I would hope that all people, in the interest and love for others would post their bad experiences here with ANY protocol, be it herbs, spices, a particular diet or cleanse, what have you... that is how we all learn. It is absolutely essential.

People who have been on strict fruititarian diets have seen incredible benefits, great health and then a health crash within a year or so... and then disappear... leading me to believe, as common sense has told me, a fruititarian diet is NOT the way to be or go... period.

This person's bad experience does NOT negate the benefits experienced by others with Iodine one iota, nor does it imply that iodine is "bad", she just over did it is all. 100 to 200mg daily for 2.5 years was it?

Cayce's reading suggestions in "some" cases was a specific protocol for a limited period of time (weeks) twice a year or so and that was it... Jarvis was a drop or two (dependent upon weight) of Lugol's in water and vinegar 2 - 3 times (more during cold and flu season) a week, indefinitely... and the use of kelp.

the iodine doctors are about 50mg in specific cases for a period of up to 6 months and then back to maintenance...

She over did it... period.

I think at one time we came up with the idea of about 7 or 8mg a day for men and 12mg a day for women... with dietary sources, like seaweeds, and/or magnascent and/or SSKI this is easy enough to accomplish.

If any one of ML's protocol users have a bad experience with the protocol it is spread around the zone in a heartbeat... and it should be. In all the cases I have seen where this has happened, the "user" made mistakes, misapplied and/or over did it... just as this individual did.

people need to use their heads, apply common sense and take FULL responsibility for their actions. By posting a "bad" experience, I see an individual who has accepted responsibility... and one of courage and honesty.

Perhaps these lessons will make people think about what they are doing AND shake them up to understand that if a little is good, more is NOT better.

As I have stated before... many symptoms of hypo or hyper anything including iodine or calcium are identical and/or similar.

Different people (genetically and adaptively) require different ways to go about things to get well and ML's protocol is NOT for everyone as I have stated before, neither is iodine in the form of Lugol's or Iodoral... lower doses of magnascent, detoxified, and/or kelp may work for these folks.

Anything inert (minerals, what-have-you), is neither good, nor bad, it is man who makes it so.
