KITTY LITTER VS. BENOITE CLAY

I want to cleanse my skin and detox it by doing a clay body bath. (I want to do a dry body bath...I'll look like a mud monster...ha!) I've done some research and found that benoite clay is always suggested. I've researched the health food stores in my area and I can only buy this clay in 6 oz. tubs or in water suspention. I need to buy 5-6 lbs. That could get expensive quick! So I had a thought, because this will be an external treatment, and because all clays draw, couldn't I use cheap kitty litter...in the really cheap stuff they don't add any chemicals, and soak and mix up a batch of that for my external bath-detox? What do you think? Anyone? Or am I way off base with this idea? Thanks to all you, I really do appriciate your thoughts and ideas. See you in the "PITS!"
