I am in a similar place with heavy metal poisoning, fatigue and poor gut health etc among other ailments.
Heavy metals damage the balance of gut flora thereby reducing our ability to convert/create B12 which I have found for me is essential.
(Methylcobalamin) active B12 sub lingual lozenges that slowly dissolve in the mouth.
I'm sure they cant do any harm and if you are deficient then your body wont be healing properly.
Though, please read through the forums re: active B12 for better information than I can offer.

I also take zinc,B5,C,D3,magnesium,selenomethionine,trace minerals,multi-vits, Lugols iodine, all of which have helped to a certain extent but I really feel my body is starting to heal since I started taking the methyl b12 plus my energy has improved.
