Quote: "I still, though, cannot even move closer to your hypoglycemia theory.. I am very glad and amazed your diet helped you get better, but it is still very hard for me to believe that this was the sole cure-all. You do seem to acknowledge later on, in another post, that some sort of emotional/psychological healing is beneficial as well, but I think you see it as a second to the nutritional."
The so called "hypoglycemia theory" is not a theory but evidenced based medicine. Psychonutritional therapy means that is a psycho- and nutritional therapy, with the proviso that any biological aspects of mood disorders MUST be treated first before considering "psychological" aspects. Thus, it is holistic treatment we are talking about. Psychologically oriented people, like Deirdre Fay, are always looking for "psychological" reasons FIRST before looking at biological factors. This is where they may miss the point and waste a lot of time. This is partly due to the fact that they see "psychology" primarily as human behaviour based on a set of learning experiences and also because they are not trained in Nutritional Biochemistry. It is obvious to anybody that you MUST first eliminate biological factors before considering "psychological" factors.
