Hi iolite, since you invited intuition into this, I gotta say, that a couple of minutes after I read your post a great insight into your situation was downloaded to me. I will share this with you:

Your cats are playing out a scenario for you - but it's not about them, it's about you.

Understand that the closer we are to our pets the more they will absorb our personal energy and reflect it back to us.

How to resolve this? tap your own issues around this subject. How does it make you feel? What emotions do situations like this trigger in you? What boundaries have you not created in your life? Where do you feel like a victim? What are your personal fears and anxieties? Where in your life have situations that mirror this occured that you have not yet forgiven and resolved?

When you resolve this in yourself, you will find your cats start to play out a different scenario, until then, they will mirror back to you what is in your energy field. They love you a lot and are in service to you. It's a beautiful co-creation.
