As per Dr. Schulz and Dr Christopher the best known proponents of the healing properties of cayenne "the hotter the better". The heat of cayenne is measured in Scolville units or more commonly refered to as "heat units" or HU. For cayenne to have  "theraputic properties" it needs to be at least 90,000 HU. Most of the regular grocery store commercial stuff is pretty useless as it generally is 30K or less HUs.

Knowing the above my guess is Dr Schulz tincture is at least 90K HU or most likely even hotter. Basically as to how much to use on the MC, it's as hot as you can stand it. You don't hafta over do it from the git go and can gradually  build up tolerance as you go by increasing the amout daily.. You'll be surprised how fast your system adjust and actually builds up a tolernce.

While the Burroughs recipe calls for 1/10th tsp most experienced MCers use a minimum or 1/4 tsp or more of the powdered cayenne. The cayenne is a crucial element in the MC. I've even heard the MC refered to as a delivery system for the cayenne.
