I have done quite a few colonics in the past. I’m not sure that they have helped. I have changed my opinion several times on colonics. I actually have a home colonic machine and a Colema board. My problem has gone on so long that I am dependent on enemas. I use a bucket with a siphon because enema bags are too small for me. I use cold distilled water—approximately three quarts.

Some people think that cold water is not as habit forming. It seems to be more stimulating than warm water.
I use the push-pull method to remove the sludge. Each day I drink two 34 oz bottles of water each containing one tbsp of psyllium powder and one tbsp of Goat mineral whey at room temperature. The water is completely saturated with the psyllium. I also drink additional water, with small particle size and oxygen. It is easy to get down. That is a lot of push.
At night I do the enema. This is an art that I have done a lot of experimenting with. I get terrific results. There were times when my colon was left irritated. I made some suppositories as follows:
I wrapped aluminum foil around a cylindrical pen to make a tube. Then I twisted one end to close it off. I made a mixture of water soluble vitamin E (Twin Labs) and Aloe gel, and filled the tubes with it. Then I put about six of them in a paper cup and put them in the freezer. When I use them I cut them in half with a knife and let the half that I will use warm for a minute just before it gets liquid. I find they are very effective. Someone ought to manufacture them. I only need them occasionally.
I have to wonder if the Hothouse plays some role in the success. Does it help the liver cells regenerate so that it pushes out the sludge more effectively? I think we will only know the answer to this when more people have tried it.
