I had a quick look at the website, and it seems that the studies that are posted there back support the idea that adverse reactions(autoimmune) happen to people that were previously iodine-deficient. That begs the question, though, why are we all not having adverse effects...

I'm glad that your baby will not have to be on the meds forever. Have you had your thyroid checked?

And I'm sorry if you have felt that "some peoples concerns were being blown off". I have certainly not seen that in this forum, can you be more specific as to your concerns?

How are you and baby doing otherwise? :) and how are you liking Oregon?
